Gabe grew up surrounded by abuse and by the time he reached the sixth grade he was in his first foster home. He moved through more than 20 foster homes, experienced mistreatment, ran away many times, and ended up living in his car. Gabe saw school as a safe and caring place and is on his way to graduating.
