Luis grew up in California and moved to Oregon in the 6th grade. In middle school he began to struggle in class and got involved with gangs. His involvement with gangs gave him a connection, but pushed him further away from his family and school. After being placed into foster care he began to seek out ways to reconnect to school, family, and his future. Follow his journey.
