Think Schools

Over the years, many businesses have supported the city's schools by donating a percentage of profits to the Portland Schools Foundation or by hosting special events with the Schools Foundation as the beneficiary.

The Schools Foundation has created the "Think Schools" campaign as a way for retailers and their customers to create community, support schools and market local businesses, products, and services.

For example, since 2003, New Seasons Market has marketed local fruit using the School Fruit brand. A percentage of every pound of School Fruit sold is donated to the Schools Foundation.

In return, the Schools Foundation supports Think Schools fundraisers through print and electronic promotion.
