Join us for Celebrate! Portland Public Schools
1. For one day, all Portland Public Schools will be together, under one roof.
2. Learn about your neighborhood school and what types of programs it offers for your child. Find out about other schools in the district and what they offer.
3. Celebrate! will have interpreters available to help guide visitors through the event. Meet Portland Public Schools Superintendent Carole Smith.
4. Get more information about job opportunities at Portland Public Schools.
5. Learn about the different support services offered in Portland Public Schools: Special Education, Talented and Gifted, English Language Learners, Migrant Education, counseling services, health services, Nutrition Services (Wellness Policy, Free and Reduced Meals), and much more.
6. Learn about the many before and after school programs and child care options available.
7. Visit high school booths and get information on graduation requirements, college preparatory services, special programs, athletic programs, and more.
8. Discover how you can become involved in your child’s school through the PTA, Site Council or other volunteer opportunities.
9. Learn about the Portland Public School transfer system and get your questions answered about school choice.

Transportation and Parking Information
Free parking will be available at Portland International Raceway with shuttle buses provided to the Portland Expo entrance. The MAX Light Rail yellow line runs directly to the Expo. For more information about riding MAX, including schedules, please visit the TriMet site: http://trimet.org/max/index.htm. Attendees can park in the Expo parking lot for a $7 fee.
Shuttle buses will be running every half-hour from area high schools to the Expo Center. Shuttle buses will pick up at Cleveland, Madison, Jefferson, Marshall, Roosevelt and Wilson High Schools. The shuttle buses will run from 1 p.m. thru 4 p.m. The last bus will leave the Expo Center at 5 p.m.
Free Childcare
Childcare will be provided for children four years and older.
