The Schools Foundation rewards inspiring and innovative teaching, and provides venture capital to principals, teachers, parents, and community leaders to power academic achievement in PPS District schools.

Our 2007-2008 goals are to:

• Invest in the Portland public schools district to close the achievement gap and accelerate school wide improvement.
• Increase investments and policy changes to expand options for struggling students and out-of-school youth.
• Shine a light on successful strategies already in place in classrooms and schools.
